I feel for Trevor Bell...they keep bringing him up and then down. But I wish the front office would send Mike S down to AAA to manage the Salt Lake Bees. Get rid of him please. Can't stand having him in Anaheim anymore.

Great players coach, good baseball coach.

You'd have to think though if the Angles ponied up and kept Napoli instead of Mathis and Kendry Morales was finally healthy and in the line-up this season, they'd be tied or even a couple games ahead of the Rangers. It's not going to happen though with not one player in the line-up batting over .293. And just think, since August 11th, the Angels have had 3 games won but the error by Izturis in the Yankees game, the bullpen blowing a game against the Jays, and last night Aybar's error that led to a Rangers run have almost completely taken the Angels hope of winning the AL West this season. There's not much Scioscia can do about those plays and lack of Angels hitting.

Angels roster move: RHP Tyler Chatwood optioned to triple-A Salt Lake; C Hank Conger called up and en route to Anaheim.

So who else turned off the game when Rodney entered?

Well, I waited until he gave up the single to right. I think Sciocia is just screwing with us.

Huge series win and sweep of the O's this weekend! The Angels are 4 games behind Texas, and the Rangers are going up against the Red Sox next! I don't root for Boston much at all, but I hope they sweep Texas and the Angels do the same to the White Sox too!

For those of you saying they should trade Weaver and that Boros won't let him sign without testing the market, here you go:

Los Angeles Angels' Jered Weaver gets 5-year extension, source says - ESPN Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim have reached agreement with starting pitcher Jered Weaver on a five-year, $85 million contract, a baseball source confirmed Sunday night. The deal includes a full-no trade clause, the source said.

The Angels are expected to announce the agreement at a news conference Tuesday in Anaheim.

Hell yeah! I think that's the home town discount too right? I'm sure Weaver would easily get offers of 20+ mil if he tested the market with Philly, NY, or Boston.

While it seems like most of you are allergic to the "like" button, I just want to personally say thanks for looking anyway.

Pretty sweet deal for both sides.
I think this has more to do with Weaver rather than Boros. California kid who wants to stay. Gave up some money for stability.

Of course don't trade him if you can lock him up for 5 years. Didn't think that was on the table.

yeah. Like TC said, I get a feeling it's about staying home more than anything. Glad that the Angels wrapped him up. I'm a big believer in starting pitching winning you championships and they need those guys more than ever right now with the bullpen and hitting.
