Look at those Angels trying to buy a championship. Rabblerabblerabblerabble. Am I doing it right?
I have a lot of respect for the Cardinals, but I like that this will make them squirm a little bit. Say what you will about fans in the Northeast, but they'll admit their flaws. You won't find a larger group of baseball fans that think their **** doesn't stink than Cardinals fans. Best fans in baseball (R)(TM).

People are so caught up in the Pujols deal(that's the second time Artie pulled that thief-in-the-night move b.t.w.) that you are forgetting adding Wilson which is at the expense of Texas. In their division the Angels really only have to worry about the Rangers. Ya think Sciossa is ****tin a tin biscuit yet?
I like both the dodgers and angels, (but when they play Dodgers >>>>>>>>>>>Angels) but its crazy to see the best hitter in the game is in So Cal, now Mark Cuban .... please buy the dodgers!
The signings today were almost enough to make me not hate Terry Murray for a day, almost. IF, Morales can come back and be close to the same hitter as before then the Angels' lineup will be dynamite, big if. Trade Hunter or Wells for some bullpen help...eat their contracts if you must but screw it, Trout needs to be in the lineup.
Absolutely. That's why I said trade Hunter OR Wells...this is assuming that Morales is on his way to being healthy for the start of ST. Having both of them in the lineup wouldn't be the worst thing but that would block Trout from making the team. He had some growing pains last year but I think he needs to be implemented into the starting lineup asap...immense potential.
I don't see why any athlete needs to be overpaid like this. $250 million? With ridiculous signings like this, we'll continue paying far too much on tickets and at the concession stands. It's funny people complain so much about the price of food , tickets , and drinks. Well, here is a prime example of why that is.
The only way to justify this deal, is if Pujols had turned down a better offer from the Yankees. If that's the case, I'll have a little respect for Pujols. Great pickup though for the angels, hope its worth it for them.
This story in today's LA times says that a new 20-year, $3-Billion TV deal w/ Fox Sports enabled the Angels to sign both Pujols and Wilson so they shouldn't have to raise ticket prices but I won't be surprised if they do.
