Actually, I'm pretty optimistic. Not saying that Angels should be favorites now but they have all the tools to take the division. Better starting staff, better bullpen, better OF defense (by far). If a few factors go their way they could easily wind up on top. Slight improvements by Aybar, Kendrick, Abreu, Callaspo, in addition to the added pop of Wells, a full year of KMo and a little bit of Trumbo and/or Conger should make up for the subtraction of Matsui & Napoli. Some, if not most, of those players should revert to average rather than have another down year like 2010. They won't be an offensive juggernaut but they should be more balanced offensively and tons better defensively. Not to mention that I expect the team ERA to be lower this year, not just because you swap Saunders with Haren and improve the bullpen, but because the staff will be more confident and effective with the Wells/Bourjos/Hunter OF.
Angels may call on creative approach to closing
I'm glad to hear the Angels are not set on using Rodney as the ONLY choice for closer. Get rid of the guy if he sucks bad like last season please
