Wow. Dan Haren is gone now too. 1 yr/13 mil to the Nationals.

Haren not being re-signed was expected. The Nationals over payed Haren here, but I still like the signing. The Phillies are going to be a much better team next season, so signing Haren will help the Nationals to continue to compete in the NL East.

Wow ! 5 years of Hamilton ? Unless you trade Trumbo for some pitching...

This deal made no sense. At least the Dodgers with Greinke, they are hedging in case Bills is not good to go or Kershaw has hip issues. This deal is just... wow... Really ?!?!

It makes perfect sense. We lost Hunter, Santana, Haren, Greinke.

We needed a cleanup batter after Pujols. Our biggest weakness is probably starting pitching now, only down to Weaver and Wilson... =\ They added some bullpen help but I think it's still weak. It's all about the offensive game.

Trumbo isn't going anywhere. If anyone is trade bait, it's probably Peter Bourjos (though they say they want to give him a full year in the OF).

LOL why not give greinke that absurd contract.........good pitching beats good hitting any day.

only if angels get some kind of pitching....all you have is weaver and a bunch of question marks. Wilson got injured and needs to show he is better cause he was trash the last half of the year, and when Blanton is your number 3 or 4 you have problems.....improved bullpen though.


plus a guy like Dickey will cost either Trumbo or Bourjos plus top prospects for an almost 40 flash in the pan.
