Kershaw took home the NL Cy Young, well deserved despite the arguments many east coasters made as to why Halladay actually had a better season. Kemp should be up next with the NL MVP award, though this one is going to be much more highly contested and many feel Braun despite trailing Kemp in almost every offensive category except batting average. Unlike the Cy Young where voters don't seem to put much weight towards the team's performance, in the MVP vote the team's success seems to carry a lot more importance and Braun may win because of this.
In the Cy Young awards won by team race, the Dodgers are firmly in the lead with 10 awards, followed by Philly with 7, and Baltimore/Boston/Atlanta with 6 each. Arizona with an impressive 5 in their short history, mainly because of the Big Unit. Another little tidbit, the Expos are the only team to have only 1x winner in their history, every other team has either won it at least 2x or more or never at all.
