Watching Joe say goodbye was tough. The guy was upset and crying for the most part. I really don't like losing him, and I wish it was Kazmir instead.
Joe will be one of my favorite Angels players no matter what. Maybe he will come back one day via FA etc. You never really know

I absolutely LOVE the Haren trade! With the Rangers on the schedule for next weekend... I think another trade is coming.
True Steve. I know the Angels are interested in him but I think the Brewers are asking way too much for him and the Angels can't afford to kill their farm teams by taking that risk.Originally Posted by P. Diddy

You're welcome.

Yeah, watching Joe break down like that was tough. To borrow a DL phrase, Joe had an Angels tattoo and was all class. I never saw anything but the consummate teammate. Great memories particularly of him wearing the VT hat and writing VT on the mound after the VT tragedy and then pitching a great game. He seemed to be one of those clutch pitchers who'd rise to the occassion.
That being said he wasn't as good a pitcher as his W-L records (before this year) indicate and Haren is an upgrade for the next 2.5 years so I support the move. It is just sad to see a guy who values his team like he did get traded. He will be one of the very few former Angels that I will still root for on other teams. Thanks Joe.
Good read by Jeff Passan about the trade:

The Haren deal was a great trade, now if Reagins can bring in one more bat, and hopefully another solid bullpen arm, I think they can still make a run at it the playoffs. It's got to start soon though. The series against Texas next week is a must win series.
