Tonight was interesting at the Big A. I got my very cool candy jar, and Kazmir had a very good start over all. No runs for 4 inns, and that two run homer SHOULD had been a solo if not for the bad Angels Defense tonight.

And Scott had at least one more run due to D failing. Same goes for Shields who pitched two very good inns tonight. Yet again, the offense never showed up and the Angels go down again.

    Yeah, is it April 2011?!?!

You know what's funny Melfice? All season long, I was b*tching and moaning at how the Rangers got to play the Orioles so many times and how easy their schedule was.

While that part was true... the Angels then proceed to lose to the Orioles over and over themselves. =\ 0-5 against the Orioles.

Texas sure isn't "hot" this summer. Yeah, they didn't fade out like we all expected but check this out.

    July Record:

    Rangers: 14-13
    Angels: 9-17

    August Record:

    Rangers: 12-13
    Angels: 10-14

    July + August Record:

    Rangers: 26-26
    Angels: 21-30

It's more of the Angels who are failing to play average baseball. That's the pathetic part. The Angels would easily be 4-5 games back if the Angels played average. But since they're not capable of that this season, then there is no point in hoping that they can still come back in September.

Our season is DONE...Hopefully New York releases Rodriguez from his contract, He said he would like to come back and with him coming back home to anaheim, that would give him the extra boost. I say bring back Rodriguez! But this season is done...BRING ON HOCKEY!

Can we PLEASE fire Mickey Hatcher yet? It should have been done years ago, but this offense is totally pathetic. They should be embarrassed.

Very good info, TooCool and yeah I agree with everyone here. The ONLY reason we are not 15 to 20 games back right now is because Texas is not really playing all that well.

Man, they better fix this team during the offseason and get some bats and a NEW HITTER COACH!!! Mickey Hatcher was never that great of a hitter, and he is doing NOTHING to help the offense issues this year.

The Halos better sign Carl Crawford and bring his talents to the Big A. That alone will be a good move and with Kendry back, I think the offense will be two times better than it is now. Like I said before, Art better spend money for 2011 or I'm not going to games anymore.

The Angels got a crap load of money for the All-Star Game, and the front office better re-invest into the team.

    ESPN Boston

    By Joe McDonald
    ESPNBoston.com

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Boston Red Sox have claimed catcher/first baseman Mike Napoli off waivers, according to a league source.

The Red Sox have until Monday afternoon to work out a deal with the Angels for Napoli, but it's unlikely the deal will get done, the source said. The Red Sox may have put in the claim to block another team from acquiring Napoli.

The right-handed hitting Napoli, who has seen significant time at first this season with Kendry Morales injured, is batting .249 with 21 homers and 60 RBIs in 113 games. He has about $720,000 remaining on a one-year, $3.6 million contract.

Without Napoli, Angels Swept by Orioles - Halos Heaven

The Angels have not scored a run for Jered Weaver in his last 30 IP... so today was no different...

Final Score in Anaheim: Angels 0, Orioles 1

In three games against Baltimore, the Angels scored 1 run. It was on a balk.

The Angels had no RBI in their three weekend games. The Angels have now gone 29 and one-third innings without a single RBI.

Jeff Mathis scored a run on a Howie Kendrick base hit with two outs in the 6th inning of Wednesday's game.

Let's clock that RBI at the 2-hour mark and agree that, as of 3:30 PM on Sunday afternoon, the Angels have gone 97 hours without batting in a run... and counting.

If they score in the first inning tomorrow night they will stop the streak before it hits 125 hours.

Jered Weaver would have more support bagging groceries at Trader Joe's. The Angels have not scored a run with him on the mound for 30+ consecutive innings. But hey, bench Mike Napoli, yeah...

I'll take a shot for every inning the Angels don't score a run. I plan on being s**t faced by the end of the game.
