Amazing, Kazmir has had some good starts lately BUT nothing to show for it tho. He allowed only 1 run the whole game....ONE run and NO OFFENSE and the BP strikes again with Brian and Jason who both came back from the DL on Wednesday.
Man, our SP hate this team by now. It's time for Hockey to start and I'll look forward to the 2011 season for the Angels. This year is beyond over, and Texas lost tonight. We NEVER move in the standings.
Good news on the Morales front at least.
Angels to have healthy Morales by spring
Good game and win today even tho we lost the series to the A's. Texas got swept by the Twins which is nice. We are still 9.5 games back. Man, the Halos never gain any ground do they?!? Funny, because the Rangers are still not playing all that good too.
Sucks but I hope the Angels at least finish .500+ for the season
Get rid of F Rod 2.0 and Rodney as well. Man, we have other rookies that don't GIVE UP GRAND SLAMS. I don't understand why Mike S keeps using F Rod and not guys like Walden and Thompson?!?!
This is a losing season, but at least we will get better picks in the draft next year
I'm looking forward to spring training and the 2011 season already. Tonight it was not fun watching the Halos lose again. They have no life left in them. You can tell the players just want the season to be done with.
Maybe the A's can catch Texas and win the AL West!
The Rangers lost again last night for their 5th loss in a row and are 2 - 8 in their past 10. Since their 81st game, they are 27 - 30.
Just think, if the Angels were say only one game above .500 at 70 - 69 (instead of 66-73), this would be a playoff race right now. But, the AL West sucks, including the 1st place Rangers.

However, the enthusiasm over their first post-season appearance since the last ice age is diminished by the fear of another playoff bust (1-9 in post-season games since 1961) . After a fast start, they're struggling to surpass even their modest 87-win finish last season, and this in spite of playing the weakest schedule in the American League. Today, for instance, they played just their 50th game against a team currently over .500, and they lost it 7-2. Here is a litany of the Rangers' other woes:
•They are a losing team on the road (32-38).
•They are a losing team in the second half (27-29 since their 81st game).
•They are a losing team against winning teams (21-29 against teams currently over .500).
•They are a losing team against playoff teams (8-17 against MIN, NYY, and TB).
•They have not won a single game against a playoff team on the road (0-12).
•They would be at least two games out of any playoff berth besides the AL West.
•Vladimir Guerrero is hitting .247 / .291 / .365 since the All-Star Game.
•Josh Hamilton and Cliff Lee are currently both on the shelf for unspecified amounts of time.
•The team is a disappointing 3-8 when Lee starts, and everyone else they've acquired (Molina, Cantu, Guzman, Cora, Francoeur) has been pretty much useless.
The Labor Day weekend might as well have placed an exclamation point on all of the above points. The Rangers went 0-4 while being outscored 29-14, including a three-game sweep in Minnesota. Down one run in Sunday's game, they loaded the bases with two outs in the 9th inning, but Michael Young was called out for making contact with his own third-base coach. Brutal.
Scot Shields Injury Lowlights Loss to Cleveland - Halos Heaven
The last remaining Angel from the 2002 World Champions walked off the field with a 3-2 count, a sore throwing arm and the last remnants of an era on his shoulders. Scot Shields looked in pain in the 6th inning of Tuesday's blowout loss to the Cleveland Indians and could not convince Mike Scioscia otherwise.
If it was the final appearance of a 2002 Angel in an Angels uniform, it came in front of the hometown crowd and ended under protest. Ever the gamer, Shields pleaded to stay in.
During the game, the Angels announced they were releasing longtime utility infielder Robb Quinlan, who with Shields was the final Angel on the roster from the 2003 Angels squad, an injured group of underachievers about as miserable as this one.
16 inns but the Angels get the win tonight. GET RID OF RODNEY WHO RUINED Kazmir's very good start today!!!
The guy BLOWS a lead AGAIN. I don't want him as our main closer next season.
No surprise reading this report.
Matsui's days with Halos may be numbered
