It was encouraging to see Puig finally get a hit but he still looks lost at the plate.

I'm really really tired of losing to the Padres.

Looks like somebody is starting to buy into the Puig hype. I wish the rest of the team looked lost at the plate while having a .299 batting average.

You know what's the team I really hate at the moment? The Brewers!

Puig has had a great season. He's turned himself into a legitimate option in CF. He's put up good power numbers. He gets on base better than anyone on the roster not named Turner(how absurd is this, btw) but offensively he's in a bad place right now. 1 for his last 23. It's a slump. He'll break out of it soon but in the month of August his slash line looks terrible .217/.301/.239 (22 total bases) over 92 ABs. That qualifies as lost at the plate, to me.

They look completely lost at the plate right now.

So now we have to assume an insta-loss every time the 5th starter spot comes up in the rotation?

Kershaw is just so damn fun to watch. Hard to believe he's only 26.

Gotta hand it to Harper for taking him deep. He was sitting on that fastball and he just crushed it.
