Coming from a true Angels fan, they did not deserve to win that series. That was disgusting baseball all 4 games. Kendrick's overall play, Guerrero's base running, Hunter's Defense, and Aybar's bunting blunder are solely to blame for loosing this series.

Pitching was great, Figgy came through when needed, Nappy did his thing, and Tex... are you kidding, you can't ask for any more from him. If I am in the Upper Office of the Angels, I do everything I can to keep these guys, especially Tex, I would build my team around him. If that means getting rid of Vlady and not signing Franky... By-by. Oh, and if you're thinking were to put Morales, 3rd base, Wood at Short, and Figgy @ 2nd.

Really? His average looked great but you weren't disappointed with his lack of a single extra base hit?

Wait you are proposing playing Kendry Morales at 3B? That guy can barely play 1st.

I'm for both. I've never liked vlady, he's the laziest runner from home to first and he scares the s&*t out of me whenever he plays the outfield.

And no closer is worth 15-mil/year - that works out to about $200k per inning, assuming he pitches 75 innings - NOBODY's worth that much.

Vlad is still a very capable hitter. I don't see the harm in letting him DH and occasionally play in LF.

That was six years ago. I think the only current Angels from that roster are Garret Anderson and the rally monkey.

    I could be wrong...

Regardless, Angels offense really would have been even worse in recent memory without Vlad (duh). Pitching would have kept them competitive, but the offense would have been dreadful.

A couple pitchers, K-Rod, Lackey, Shields. Figgins was around but I don't think he did much in the post-season, so yea, only GA position player wise.

I wouldn't say disappointed. His role kind of changed in this series because they could not get any baserunners. He had to be that guy. I am sure he and probably everyone else in the dugout thought that between Vlady, Hunter, and Riviera... one of them would be able knock him in. Now obviously, yes I wish he would have had a few big flies and a double or two but, he can't carry the whole team on his shoulders, even though he almost did, no one can.

You may be right, but I am just having wishful thinking about keeping Tex, and Morales' bat can not be on the bench next year, way to good. If we keep Garret and/or Vlady, I am sure one of them would be the DH. If not, there is another option. Don't forget about Maicer either!
