DeJesus makes BA's hot list
No. 6 IVAN DeJESUS
Team: Double-A Jacksonville (Southern)
Why He's Here: .440/.481/.600 (11-for-25), 7 R, 1 2B, 1 HR, 1 RBI, 2 BB, 4 SO, 1/1 SB
The Scoop: Now rocking a 15-game hitting streak, DeJesus has all the ingredients to hit for a high batting average: he has quick bat speed, he puts the ball in play and he has an excellent knowledge of the strike zone. That plate discipline makes DeJesus so valuable in the middle of the infield, whether it's at shortstop or second base, giving him a lofty .411 OBP.
But when a player's slugging (.409) less than his OBP, that's a warning sign that more advanced pitchers might simply do a better job of attacking DeJesus, who right now is more of a singles hitter without much extra base pop. DeJesus doesn't project to have much power, but he's still just 21 and has the time to gain the strength needed to make him a valuable big leaguer.

Cool, maybe we won't have to draft a college ss after all...
McDonald with 2 innings of shut out ball out of the Vegas pen.
Also Sarf, our boy Kyle Russell had 2 HRs today for Ogden.
Sweet, he looks like a steal at the moment.
It's going to be interesting to see how he adjusts as he moves up.
DeWitt was 5-5 today.
5 singles though...
Lambo and Linblom promoted to AA
Dodgers fast-track draft picks - PE.com - Professional Sports
Interesting, Linblom has been awesome ever since he signed and Lambo is having a very solid year in the Midwest league.
I think this is a bit of a trial for next year. If they show they can hang in Jacksonville, they'll stay their next year, if not they'll go to Class A Advanced - Inland Empire.
Elbert K'd the side for Jacksonville today.
Also Sarf, another HR for Russell today.
