Rick (Boston): Darvish or Kershaw? If Kershaw were somehow made a free agent, I don't see anyway he would get anywhere near a $100MM+ contract, so why would a team pay that for Darvish (as Jim Caple has suggested)?

SportsNation Jim Callis: (2:25 PM ET ) If Daisuke Matsuka cost $103.1 million between posting fees and a contract, Darvish could get more. There are people who think he'll be better than Matsuzaka. Kershaw might not get $100 million right now, but 1) he'd get a lot more than you might think and 2) he could get an eight-figure deal when he hits free agency. I'd take Kershaw, perhaps because I have a better feel for him, but Darvish would be close.

Mike (LA): What do you see the Dodgers doing with the 15th pick?

SportsNation Jim Callis: (2:58 PM ET ) I don't see that marriage happening. I don't know how far Hosmer might fall. I think Alvarez will still find a home near the top of the draft, but I don't know about Hosmer.

Not exactly. The process would be like Dice-K's. His team would have to make him available. Then there would be the bidding process just to talk to him, then you have to actually sign him.

I would hope that they would make him a position player.

The Dodgers have stockpiled a ton of power arms but the organization is tapped out as far as position players go especially in the OF with the graduations of Kemp and Ethier.

Most if not all reports say that his biggest upside is as a 5 tool CF, he has a big but raw arm. Last time the Dodgers took a highly touted 2 way player we decided to make him a position player, it has worked out well thus far(James Loney)
