    Dodgers adding two right handed hitting outfielders:

    I was hoping for Milledge as the righty LF platoon player, but Thames would have been my 2nd choice based on the current market. Thames does have decent power but is also considered below average on defense. Though he can't help but be a defensive upgrade over the previous LF. Thames/Gibbons in LF, sounds like the type of solution the Pirates or Royals would have, not a team that's supposed to be a legit contender.

    As for Kapler (I played with him in little league and high school when he was a skinny SS), I'm guessing he's coming home for one more shot at making a roster before retiring. Barring an injury or two, don't see him making the roster but worth taking a look. He's already been a minor league coach, so maybe he stays with the organization in that capacity if he doesn't make the team.
