Let's hope the Kings go REALLY deep in the playoffs, for various reasons.

It may have only been the first game of spring, but looks like we got a glimpse of what could be the regular lineup for Los Dodgers today:

    1. Furcal
    2. Kemp
    3. Ethier
    4. Ramirez
    5. Loney
    6. Blake
    7. DeWitt (or Belliard if he wins the 2B job)
    8. Martin
    9. Pitcher

If Belliard does win the 2B job, I could see Torre moving him up to the #2 spot, dropping Kemp to 5th and moving Loney and Blake down a notch. That would strengthen the bottom of the lineup, which to me is a little weak 6-9 in the configuration above.

If Martin can regain his stroke we'll be more than fine. If not, we've got problems.

Bills is the key. If he can bounce back and establish himself as a consistent top of the rotation guy again, the rest of the rotation should work itself out.

Isn't that what they signed Reed Johnson for? Looks like Giles and Anderson would be fighting for a pinch hitting spot if anything. One if not both of them isn't making the team.

Agreed, and I think that will happen. Kershaw, Bills, Kuroda is a nice 1-2-3. Padilla is a serviceable 4. I'd love to see McDonald step up and own the 5 spot but we'll probably see a rotation of Stults, McDonald, and Haeger in their all season.

Dodgers catcher Russell Martin will miss 4-6 weeks with a groin pull, according to Dodgers manager Joe Torre.
