rightfully should be 1-0 if not for that nice grab by Morgan
rightfully should be 1-0 if not for that nice grab by Morgan
You know what really sucks is there's a decent core already in place:
Kershaw
Kuroda
Billingsley
Guerra
Kemp
Either
Rivera
Carrol
Miles
Gordon
Certainly not great but if ownership had the funds to add another arm and another bat, this team probably would've made the playoffs.
Instead, we'll be lucky to finish 3rd in the West.
Terrible.
nah man nah. That's not a decent core. Carroll and Miles are good back ups, but no way should they be every day players. I agree with you for most the others.
I like
Kemp
Ethier
Rivera
Gwynn (if he ISN'T an every day guy)
Gordon
Sellers (He has shown me a ton in the last few games both with the bat and the glove)
and pitching..yea you about got it
Kershaw
Kuroda
Eovaldi
(**** Billingsley, he's a choker)
De La Rosa
That's a decent 4 of 5 starting pitchers, Eovaldi has looked like a champ.
and out of the pen
Guerra
Hawksworth
Lindblom
Our pen is RIDICULOUSLY weak. Our starting pitching has seemingly not been the problem this season AT ALL. It's been the secondary runs outside of Kemp and Ethier...and the pen blowing close games. MacDougal has good numbers but he has been awfully weak under pressure.
I don't see all the doom and gloom of other fans. Yea it's been a rough year.....but cmon we weren't THAT good coming in to the season. We have no depth on the defensive side of the ball.

This deal will definitely have an effect on future Kershaw negotiations, I'd say Clayton will be looking at around $20MM per year.

Rate Vin Scully? REALLY???

Well...I guess Ethier is gone this offseason.

Andre Ethier meets with Don Mattingly, GM to discuss knee - ESPN Los Angeles
I highly doubt Ethier has been tanking. What good would that do him? he has had injury issues. Yet they keep playing? and then claim ignorance to cover your ass? both Mattingly and Coletti should be out on their ass. No doubt Ethier is unhappy...but cmon now. If Ethier is THAT unhappy we should have moved him on deadline day.
