Loaiza struggling
Why does Gary Bennett throw the ball back to the pitcher like a girl.
Seriously, Bennett's pussy throws back to the pitcher are really bothering me.
The point I was trying to make and still trying to make is that he finds a way to get on base. A bunt single, a slap the other way, or a walk here and there... and with his speed he is able to be plated often.
What else can I say? It'd be nice to have someone on the team that could step in and remove any decision making. There isn't, however. If you're Torre, what do you do? Allow Jones and his sub-Mendoza average to come up and hack at pitches aimlessly just because he is a gold glove outfielder - knowing you have a speedy, hard working guy like Pierre hitting over 100 points better to place somewhere in the lineup...
But hey, I am an idiot.
Pierre isn't good at getting on base.
20 games this season erase the 162 games he played last year, where he had an atrocious .331 OBP?
Yea who knows...
We were pretty desperate for starting pitcher last year(David Wells!) so I guess that was the thinking behind the waiver wire claim of Loaiza. But yea, it's not fun paying him 7 million dollars to blow.
I would rather DFA Loaiza, let Kuo start, and have Meloan take his bullpen spot.
Torre's whole reasoning for Kuo going back to the pen was he could "warm up fast" and it would strengthen our pen, unfortunately Loaiza weakens our rotation.
