Damn, I guess I've been outwitted here. If I had the desire or the need to get myself into the 9,000 post range I'd stick around on my computer for a few hours and rack them up with you two ESPN analysts. Until I have worn a solid indentation into my seat, my credentials just cannot compare, obviously.

His contract is up at the end of the year.

There is a 9 million dollar club option though!

Speaking of contracts... theoretically the Dodgers have a lot of money to play with this off-season, with the caveat of course that there will be holes to fill.

Here are the big money contracts that expire after this season.

Furcal
Lowe
Kent
Garciaparra
Penny(but his option will surely be picked up)
Loaiza

That's a lot of payroll coming off the books. However the Dodgers will have to give raises to a lot of the youngsters, Martin, Kemp, Ethier, etc. And will probably entertain the thought of locking them up long term like the Young and Longoria contracts.
