Despite his slow start to the season, Lowe has performed well in a Dodger uniform. I wouldn't say it is "thankful" that his salary is off the books. He's not overpaid and has been good the last couple seasons.

I have to continually give Lowe more credit seemingly each year. Personally, I thought he'd be a bust when the Dodgers picked him up. I never thought he'd become a true starter. And when that sinker's working, the man is gold for 5-7 innings. But we all know the opposite side; when the guy's bad, he's terrible, and you'll know in the first two innings which Lowe you're going to see.
