    I just signed off on plans to remove the fixed Stadium Club windows and replace them with recessed opening windows set back to the main Stadium Club level. Diners in the stepped down level facing the field will be able to watch the game in the open air.

    He'll be Mientkiewicz's main competition for the lefty "bat off the bench" role. Mientkiewicz doesn't have the power that Giles has, but is a bit more versatile defensively. If Giles can show that his bat is back after a dismal 2009, he could be an asset as a pinch-hitter since he has some power and is a great OBP guy. But he's probably a long-shot at this point.

    I can't believe Giles has a career .500+ SLG%, considering he only has 4 30-homerun seasons in 15 years. Then again, his last .500+ SLG% year was nearly 10 years ago.

    The whole "beat LA" thing is lame. I've been to both SDeezy and PacBell/SBC/Verizon/Sprint/TelMex/AT&T Park and it is stupid. They sound like kindergardeners chanting that. That's the best they come up with ? A loud pitch sissy "battlecry" they stole from another sport ?
