Max (Norfolk): Jim- Are you sold on Ethier? Is he more than a 4th outfielder?

SportsNation Jim Callis: (2:01 PM ET ) I am. He's better than I thought he was going to be. Don't think he'll be a star but he can be a solid regular.

brad(detroit): Jim, hear me out. If the Dodgers are unable to resign Manny, wouldn't it make sense for them to go after Magglio? The Tigers want to dump some payroll and they could probably even eat some of Magglio's remaining contract. Would a package of James McDonald and DeJesus be fair? What about Maggs straight up for Russ Martin? I understand they Dodgers are actually looking to trade him while the Tigers desperately need a catcher.

SportsNation Jim Callis: (2:08 PM ET ) It all depends on how much of Ordonez' contract the Tigers would pick up. But honestly, the Dodgers already have more outfielders than they know what to do with, so I don't see them adding Magglio.

Mike (CHI): You see Matt Kemp developing into a big time middle of the order hitter?

Steve (LA): I have been reading the Dodgers may be interested in Jon garland...woul they be better off saving $12-15M per year and just give James McDonald the ball every 5th day?

SportsNation Keith Law: Hell yes.

If we signed Jon Garland that would be really disappointing.

Why wait?

Former Braves outfielder Andruw Jones, now playing for the Dodgers, told the Atlanta Journal Constitution that he would like to finish his career with the Braves.

"I've got one more year in my contract," Jones told the AJC. "Hopefully, I can come back to Atlanta. I would love to finish my career here."

Jones, who signed a two-year, $36.2 million deal with the Dodgers last offseason, had a nightmarish first year in Los Angeles. He hit .158 with three homers and 76 strikeouts in 209 at-bats, and ended the season on the 60-day disabled list with an injured right knee.
