To be honest it might be for the better that Colletti doesn't make a move. A knee jerk reaction and trading a stud prospect just because a guy hasn't adjusted to the bigs as quickly as most want would just makes things worse for the organization(LaRoche for example). Not saying that's what trade you had in mind, just want I tend to dread.

Also Colletti hasn't seemed to have the greatest luck with trades. Has there been any one trade that has really worked out for us? It's hard to fault him for the Lugo deal, I liked it at the time and Lugo was playing very well in a superior league/division and luckily he hasn't really gotten burned in any deal, Guzman's star has really fallen and he hasn't traded any other really high level prospects, but I tend to think that we could have gotten more out of a guy like Navarro. Not a big deal though.

    1-0 Bluebirds.

We suck when they score first.

Watching the Dodgers offense play like this 80% of the time gets very frustrating.

Well 3B has been a black hole since Game 1 of this season. We're now 60 games in so I don't think you can call a trade for a proven 3B a knee jerk reaction. Can we even keep pace with the Padres/D-Backs without adding another bat? At this point I'm not so sure.

I'm not going to lie; Gonzalez has been a pleasant surprise for most of the season.

Broxton in the 8th. Saito in the 9th. Game over, bitches.

    I hope.

Awesome! San Diego has again come back from a 5-1 deficit late in a game.

Why is Grady pulling Penny after only 87 pitches - especially to bring in a struggling Broxton? It's not like he was running out of gas.

I think the Ethier trade has worked out well so far.

On December 14, 2005, Ethier was traded by the Oakland Athletics to the Los Angeles Dodgers for Milton Bradley and Antonio Perez.
and does anybody else get nauseated and have bad memories seeing jason phillips back at Dodger Stadium.

Dodgers up 2-1 going to the bot. 8th. I hope we get to see Saito-san pitch the 9th
