Yup. Abreu is the man when Kent is gone. He isn't going to be a full time 3b.

I definitely forgot that detail, but then who the hell is going to get traded. Its got to be somebody. Kemp? Loney?
Goddamn it, Wolf is looking like Lurch.
Abreu's future is definitely at 2nd but Little and Colletti are currently looking for any reason to get his bat in the lineup which could very well mean that we're looking at our everyday 3rd baseman in Tony. It's possible that Abreu's bat and adequate glove at 3rd give Colletti the green light in his mind to move LaRoche in a short-sighted move that improves the team this year only. Scott Rolen perhaps?
If Rolen is acquired the team would then have a legitimate everyday 3B and Tony Abreu then becomes our 5th IF and he can then move back to 2nd full time next season. I wouldn't particularly like picking up Rolen while losing LaRoche but I can definitely see Colletti doing a deal very similar to that.
I just don't get a strong feeling that Colletti or Little are all that high on LaRoche at this point.
Martin owns.
Russell Martin again!!!
