Schmidt should have been out after the 2nd inning when it was inherently obvious that he can't get his velocity up. There was really no reason to keep him in. It's not like he was going to "settle down" or anything. Or just magically start throwing harder. Really was retarded. When Glaus came up, I said out loud "why is he still in the game?" Next pitch, dinger. Naturally.

Because why would you want the Dodgers to bring in a piece of **** pitcher in a still relatively close game? You obviously want to bring in the cream of the crop, and that would be Hendrickson or Tomko. Grady's a major league manager; he knows what he's doing.

You see that strikeout right there? That's the reason they brought Hendrickson in! Regardless of the fact that he put this game completely out of reach for the Dodgers, he got a strikeout! Grady is brilliant. What a cagey manager.

As much as I get on Grady's **** for being a retard, most of the players just aren't getting the job done. Something needs to change.
