Good god, man. Talk about overspending. I doubt that deal would ever get done though since no one besides Billingsley is really major league ready (and I'd have a really hard time parting with him.) and Florida would create a huge hole at 3B - bad player management.Quote:

Then we also would get a franchise type player in Miguel Cabrera and we won't have to worry about that position for a very long time and in the process adding a bat. If finding cornerstones to build this team around or to add to is the key - then let's also look towards spending for Ichiro & Holliday. I just don't know if the upgrade is necessary considering what we'd need to give up.
