Now with Furcal's money no longer needed, the Dodgers are probably going to pony up to three years for Manny...damn, this offseason sure got away from them. No shortshop, 2 starting pictures or Manny. Being a Dodger fan right now sure isn't fun.

I doubt the Dodgers get Manny. He'll probably wind up a Yankee, especially if Boston gets Tex.

You would have preferred offering an aging, oft-injured SS 4 years when we have a promising kid in DeJesus in the farm? You would have preferred picking up the 1-year option on a pitcher with "shoulder problems"? I would have liked Derek Lowe as much as the next guy but **** Scott Boras. And even though the Dodgers NEEEED Manny next season and maybe the next... I have nightmares of Manny in LF in years 3, 4, and 5. Remember Bonds?

Hopefully DeJesus turns out better than that Hu kid.
