Thread: The official MLB Pennant Race thread

One more month in the regular season to go.

And the way this is shaping up, it looks to be one of the most exciting pennant races in recent memory.

NL West
The Dodgers - D'Backs - Padres - Rockies are in a tight battle that won't get decided until the final week of the season.

NL Central
The Cubs - Brewers - Cardinals are in another tight one.

NL East
The Mets looked to be running away with it until a sweep by the Phils made it a 2 game lead.

AL West
The Angels put some distance between themselves and the Mariners.

AL Central
It'll be interesting to see if Detroit can catch up to Cleveland.

AL East
Sox/Yanks. The teams square off in mid-September. That's going to be nasty.

Predictions:
NL West - Dodgers
NL Central - Cubs
NL East - Philly
NL WC - Padres

AL West - Angels
AL Central - Cleveland
AL East - Sox
AL WC - Yanks

The NL West battle is going to be great to watch. Arizona and the Padres are going to be tough to catch but we'll have plenty of opportunities. I think the Dodgers can pull off a playoff appearance but our boys are going to have to step it up a bit.

I can't believe how quickly this baseball season has gone by. Should be an exciting finish for the NL West, NL Central, and AL Central especially.

I'll say the same thing about those people that think the Madre's are going to win the World Series.

Has anyone seen a team like Seattle in the most recent years? They are falling lightning quick. At this rate, the Angels will clinch the division within a week.

Seattle has some much potenial... but, they are crumbling like a cookie.

Angels' magic number is 11!!!!!

It's now 10... could be 9 by tonight, they're up 6-0 in Baltimore!
