Looks like Gagne is going to the Red Sox...how many ex-Dodgers they have now? Almost like the NY Mets.

Sox have Gagne deal, but hurdles remain
Confirming reports on Foxsports.com and SI.com, a source with direct knowledge of the negotiations told the Globe's Gordon Edes that a trade between the Red Sox and Rangers for reliever Eric Gagne is moving forward.. However, the source said, there are still issues to be overcome, including the fact that Gagne must waive his no-trade clause for the deal to go through. One potential stumbling block there is that Gagne wants to be a closer. That job is obviously taken by Jonathan Papelbon. Another hurdle is how to handle Gagne's incentive clauses. According to Foxsports.com, Gagne has $3.65 million in potential bonuses for games finished remaining on this deal. It's possible that he wants those bonuses guaranteed before he approves the deal. According to ESPN.com's Jayson Stark, the Sox would send outfield prospect David Murphy and pitcher Kason Gabbard to Texas. A source with direct knowledge of the talks only confirmed that Gabbard has been part of the discussion.

Percival here is still a possibility. Not terrible. He is a poor mans Dotel. Actually has better numbers but it's a pretty small sample size. I'd rather the Dodgers just call up Meloan.
SUCK IT UP, Rob. It would HELP if you sucked less.Quote:
SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Padres made a pair of trades Tuesday, getting infielder Morgan Ensberg from the Houston Astros and outfielder-infielder Rob Mackowiak from the Chicago White Sox.
"I'm extremely disappointed," Mackowiak said before the White Sox played the Yankees in New York. "It hurts to go from the team you grew up watching and idolized as a kid."
Mackowiak, who has played left field, right field, first base and third base this season, said he expects to be a utilityman with San Diego. He knows a few players on the Padres and "they told me to take all [of my] gloves," he said.

I've been on the Penny bandwagon since I went to his first start as a Dodger and have backed the trade since day 1, thank you. :)Quote:
