Well the Madres staked Peavy to a two-run lead in the first. That might very well be all he needs, knowing the way he owns the Dodgers.

Anything worth shooting is worth shooting twice. Bullets are cheap. Life is priceless.

Q: tom from nc asks:
hOw close was Austin Gallagher, and what is the scouting report on him? could he be LA's 3b of the future?
A:
Will Lingo: He's the kind of guy a lot of people mentioned as a solid prospect but no one was super-excited about. A lot of people think he'll have to move off third
Kent looked way too slow for him to be of much use in the postseason, and Scully repeatedly mentioned that last night was Kent's swan song - his last time at Dodger Stadium, and his last chance to say goodbye. That doesn't sound like a guy that's prepping for playoff action at Dodger Stadium.
That said, I'd rather have Kent at 2nd than DeWitt - if Kent is 100% healthy, which he obviously is not.

Jeff Kent and Rafael Furcal are expected to make the playoff roster assuming their bodies hold up over the next few days. Kent is in the lineup again today. Originally, he wasn't and Pablo Ozuna was. Ozuna is now schedule to play in the outfield tomorrow, as he's under consideration for the playoff roster due to his versatility.

McDonald looked pretty solid.
Park or Proctor to join us in the post-season?
Um.. I'll take a loaded gun, Alex.
