As for the Angels, Kendrick is good but not worth keeping if it meant getting Cabrera.

Weaver is good too but is not worth holding onto like Billingsley is to the Dodgers.

Santana should have been traded a year ago.

Izturis & Aybar are nothing more than good utility players. If I'm an Angel fan, the Marlins can both of them if they want.

I can't see the Marlins including Uggla, who hit 30 hrs last year, in any deal.
I'm not high on Cabrera. Have any of you seen how fat that guy has gotten in the past few years. The kid is still in his mid 20's and he's looking a few Big Macs shy of Bartolo Colon. Fat third basemen make for major defensive liabilities.

Who says he has to play third base for the rest of his life?

The guy can flat out mash, his bat can play in the OF or at first. You complain about not getting help for Vlad but you don't want Miguel Cabrera. Doesn't make much sense.

Why would that make the Angels have to include cash then?

That's why I can see him moving over to first. Vlad and Miguel in the same lineup would be deadly. If I'm the Angels, I'd include any prospect the Marlins would want.

I want protection for Vlad but I don't want the Angels dropping $15-20 million per season on some lard ass with obvious discipline problems. If he can continue to hit at the pace he has been hitting in the NL against superior AL pitching AND doesn't mind being a DH half the time then I can live with it. However, these things often end bad.

He's only 24 and listed at 6'2" 210lbs. I call BS. One look at him and he's easily in the 250+ range. Only way he's below 250 is if he isn't 6'2". If he can't stay in shape at the age of 24 (weren't we all in great shape at that age) what the hell is he going to look like and perform like when he pushes 30? The age when ball players start getting naturally bigger. I'm just uneasy about it that's all.

Dude needs to lay off the ****ing burritos.

But still 3 million difference in the contracts and yeah... we still have to give them cash. Hopefully it's a buck... lol
Garland is also entering the last year of his contract so it makes absolutely no sense.

Garland isn't that good. Orlando was nothing special. Kind of like trading in your 98 Tacoma for a 97 Civic. One has more room to haul ****, one gets better gas mileage, neither will get you laid.
