You finished ahead? What position did you play?

I'm sure you'll be just as correct in 2k8 as you were in 2k7... but you've got a streak to keep. So I'm sure they won't. See you in October.

    Love always,

Jim Edmonds has been in a pattern of steady decline since 2005, and now that he's another year older and about to play his home games in the toughest hitter's park in baseball, things don't figure to improve. Also, will his slowing wheels allow him to cover enough ground in the spacious Petco outfield?

They did. Check the standings. THe padres are listed ahead because THEY moved on to the playoffs against the Cards. The dodgers didn't. The Padres won the season series, THEY won the NL WEST as they will do so again in 2008.

Last I checked, the Dodgers MOVED on to the playoffs as well. Just sayin...

If that one playoff game to decide the Division Winner and Wild Card makes you feel better, you can have it. The fact remains that the Dodgers and Padres both made the playoffs with an 88-74 record.

SOME HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE for JackBarlow courtesy of The Natural

    Chapter 1, The Championships...

    Not one...

    Not two...

    Not three...

    Not four...

    Not five...

    But...

Six baby! Count 'em. If you paid any attention to this guy...

...you'd know how easy it'd be to do that.

Now, if I had more time right now, I'd sit here and count the Padres championships, but we'd all know that'd take all day...

Of course, Padre fans have the Giant fan mentality: finishing the year ahead of the Dodgers is like a championship year.
