Thread: Question for Madre fans

On the train from SD away from the ballpark on Sat. night a group of partying Padre fans were taking solace from their recent woes by exclaiming, "They can't take '98 away from us". Being as I was traveling alone and unarmed I decided not to remind them about the empty trophy case, but what the hell were they talking about?

I follow the Padres , but this year they are so deep in the basement they will need to win a few games like 10 or more to get back into the race....

It's their version of the Kings going to the cup in 1993. At least the Kings won a game though.

Some Kings fans can't let go of 93 or 01. I guess Madre pans feel the same about 98.

Those pans can't lose hope, though. The Mads will win the west!
