L.A.'s improved offer swayed the shortstop's interest away from Atlanta.

Shortstop Rafael Furcal, who appeared to be headed to the Atlanta Braves only a day ago, agreed to the terms of a new three-year with the Dodgers today, according to multiple sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the deal hasn't been made official.
