Default Rafael Furcal could be headed back to Atlanta

Dodgers will be given a final chance to re-sign the shortstop, who is near an agreement with the Braves.

Rafael Furcal could be back with the Atlanta Braves by the end of the day, according to his agent, Paul Kinzer.

I'll throw in $5 of my own if it helps. I know the McCourts are busy spending money buying up Malibu, so they might not have the free cash at the moment.

And the drop off after Furcal is significant enough that the Dodgers must realize they need to get a deal done. O Cabrera will likely cost around the same, I'm guessing he wants $8-10 million per year, and he's not the player Furcal is offensively.
