As for the selection committee giving us help. Yah, they did. Usually, they kind of screw the Titans. I guess this year it was kind of hard to ignore our top 5 ranking and strength of schedule.
Yea, CSUF had a good RPI which seemed to be the only criteria the committee looked at. Cause they definitely ignored UCI's top 5 ranking as well as their conference win.

    Anyways it doesn't matter now.

I think the best matchups in the Supers are

    Florida State-Arkansas

    LSU-Rice

    ASU-Clemson

Bottom line is that Fullerton's schedule was brutal. They played ranked opponents on the road and won. And UCI getting ignored? I think their lack of baseball tradition had something to do with it.

To me personally if you stack UCI's and CSUF's schedules side by side isn't all that much different. Both teams played tough non-conference schedules.

Let's not kid ourselves with why CSUF got a cake regional and why UCI got a tough one. CSUF's AD is on the committee. I don't think baseball tradition has to do with it why should it?

Baseball tradition should not have anything to do with it. It should be based on the current year only but when people are involved their viewpoint comes into play.

Bottom line for any of this really is that you gotta win regardless of the path......

Cruz, you act like Fullerton always gets a favorable seed. They in fact always get kinda screwed. Always playing a top ranked west coast team to get to the WS. Anyway, it doesn't matter. All the teams deserve to be where they are. And anybody who thinks tradition doesn't play a part in rankings and seeds is clueless.

Where did I do that? Look at the thread, I've only discussed this year. Just pointing out that all the things you said about CSUF you could say about UCI.

Any of you Fullerton fans going to go this weekend? Louisville has a big slugging 3B who is draft eligible. Keep an eye out for him if you get a chance.

That guy is huge. I saw him in 2007 in Omaha. He hit one almost out of Rosenblatt. The guy is a monster.

That year was pretty funny because the shortstop was barely 5' and the 3rd baseman looked like a giant next to him....
