I want to see A-Rod in a Dodger uniform next season!
That's just dumb.Quote:

I think it'll be between the Yanks, Boston, Cubs...and maybe the Angels.
It hurts the Yankees a ton though because if he had signed an extension the Yankees would still be getting Texas's money for three years. There goes $30 million in subsidized A-Rod.
lol! Peter Gammons just called out A-Rod.
apples and oranges...Vlad's performance in the post season was often a result of his injuries accumulated throughout the the regular season.
Arod on the other hand goes into the playoffs in tip top shape and gets like 2 hits. That is mental. That is choking. If he had injuries it's one thing but when he doesn't then what else is there to point at?
**edit
don't even get me started on the ridiculous amounts of protection that Arod has in the Yankee lineup compared to what Vlad has had with the Angels. That alone makes the Arod can't hack it in the playoffs more than valid.
LOL. Priceless. EVERYONE by the end of the year is banged up. Kirk Gibson hit a home run on one leg, remember?
A-Rod in the playoffs .279/.361/.483
Vlad in the playoffs .183/.258/.233
Not even a comparison. People that say A-Rod "can't handle pressure in NY" (read: stupid people) seem to conveniently forget that he tore up the '04 playoffs as a Yankee in both the ALDS and ALCS.
(And no, I don't think either A-Rod OR Vlad are unclutch, but I love watching this incredibly arbitrary definition of the word get tossed around.)
Or, you could look at it as that if an entire lineup isn't hitting pitching, maybe you should give some credit to the pitching staffs of the other teams? You can arbitrarily rationalize your way around this any way you want, but protection is just an excuse.Quote:
