He also tried to make the Dodgers play J.D. Drew in CF. Big deal.

Why would you blame him for trying to maximize his players' value considering they're employing him?

I am willing to bet my house and every last cent in my bank account that A-Rod WILL NOT end up in Anaheim... the Angels will not even make an offer.

Because it was a short-sighted selfish move that hurt both the player and the team.

I want to play quarterback for the Denver Broncos.

Unfortunately, the team has the final say in that.

I'm sure the fact that a good starting pitcher is a hell of a lot more valuable than a good reliever had nothing to do with the decision to have Dreifort start either.

A player agent used his huge power to bully the Dodgers into making a bad decision because it meant he got more money and more power. It hurt his client and it hurt the team. I blame him for that.

Then there's the fact the team gave in, which is the best way to ensure a bully will remain a bully. This leads us back to my original point, which is that I'd like to see some teams stand up to him once in a while.

I don't see it happening any time soon though.

All this Darren Dreifort talk makes me want to go on a booze cruise in the harbor.

The Dodgers did tell him "no way" when Drew asked to play center field...

    I guess it's a start.

Now if they can say "no way" to $35 million per year for A-Rod...
