anyone listening to this taped call between Clemens and McNamee?
- Roger was trying to so hard to get McNamee to say that McNamee was lying.
I don't know what to believe with Clemens. At least Clemens is coming out swinging, but it is 4 weeks to late?

Exactly. 4 weeks late is not coming out swinging--it's crawling out of your shell to see if the coast is clear.
Imagine being wrongly accused of something of which you KNOW you're innocent. You deny immediately and vociferously, with counter-evidence. It's not enough to say, as Clemens did, again and again and again: "Didn't happen." You have to say, "It didn't happen because.." Again, when you're wrongly accused of something, as we've all no doubt been at some point, how easy is it for you to tell the truth, provide evidence, alibis, explanations, etc.?
Clemens refused to talk, was nowhere to be seen for weeks. That is not the natural action of an innocent hall of famer having the legitimacy of his career questioned.
And his performance last night was shaky--at best. I thought he looked terrified that Wallace was about to reveal some piece of info that pull the cover off once and for all.
