Thread: September Dodgers Thread - The Home Stretch!

I love my Dodgers, but this is now a team with no heart, no drive and no courage. The Dodgers record since the All-Star break shows them to be a complacent and apathetic group of over-paid under-achievers. I hope they get their sorry asses swept in the NLDS. Time to clean house. Adios. Manny.

Well, to be fair he did manage to foul a few pitches off. Those foul balls were fantastic!

For embarrassed as I am to be a Dodger fan right now, I hope the players feel even worse. For the last 6 weeks they have been an embarrassment to professional baseball in general.

They have had a WEEK to win ONE FREAKING GAME to clinch the division. ONE GOD DAMN GAME in a WEEK!

Now they are well on their way to backing into the wildcard spot.

I'm calling it now, The Pebbles sweep the Dogs this weekend to complete the humiliation. The Rockies are playing like a team possessed, the Dodgers are acting like they have already won the next 3 World Series...

At least the Phils and Cards both lost.

One win this weekend clinches both the division and HFA.

Hey, the Cards backed into the playoffs in 2006 at 83-79 and still won the World Series.

Gotta have hope.

I had tickets to tonight's game but gave them away a couple weeks ago because I thought for sure this game couldn't possibly matter... right?

Whatever, hockey is back.

This is simply a slump at the worst possible time, that's all. I don't think they've lost their heart. I don't think they've lost their drive. I don't think they've lost the ability to battle.

Having said that, though:

**** 'em. I'm done with baseball at least until they've made it into the second round.
