Whooooosh.....there goes the thread to the sports forum.

And Halladay is going elsewhere too. Lackey going is a huge blow to the pitching staff. One top flight pitcher was not enough, now with Lackey gone and not replaced they do not even have that. While I am not saying 'the sky is falling' I think it would be foolish to say that they have improved with all these losses. I certainly hope that they have plans to get some pitching to replace what they lost. And Figgins filled a lot of holes while he was here. That's going to be harder to replace than you think.

Does losing Lackey and Figgins hurt? You bet. But the Halos will be fine.

We still have Weaver, Kazmir, Saunders, and Santana. Four very solid starters IMO. Hopefully the 5th one can surprise us (whoever it may be).

I don't have much of an opinion on Matsui signing with the Halos for 1 year. If he can be as good as Abreu has been, then I'll be extremely happy.

I am a huge Brandon Wood supporter and have hated how the Angels didn't give him a chance to play the past few years. They'll finally give him a shot at 3rd base so we'll see what he can do. If he can provide numbers like Kendry Morales, then that will be way better than what Figgy did for us on the power side.

Already? It's December. I guarantee the Angels are not done signing/dealing. If you look at it in a simple way, you get: Wood replaces Figgy at third, the Angels picked up Kazmir last year, he can replace Lackey's spot but as of right now, I would want Weaver at #1 and then you know what Saunders and Santana "can" do. You are still looking better than most pitching staffs in the league with just those 4 and hopefully one can have a big break-out year. Matsui is most likely going to replace Vlad which probably will be an even deal in the regular season but who would you rather have as a DH in the post season, Vlad or Matsui? And again, it's December and they're not done. No way.

By the way, I'm no Dodgers hater at all and I really hope they make some good pick-ups too but, what exactly have they done so far?

I hate the halos but Figgins was awesome. I like there manager's nazi style of play. Can the Dodger's and angels trade owners and managers please?
