Thank God he isn't going to the Yankees or to Boston.
You could see this coming with the contract extensions that the Twins were handing out a week ago... This is not good news for the NL but 4 top prospects is a pretty high price to pay.
Glad he didn't come to the Yankees. Twins wanted too much.
Using BA as a point of reference the Twins got back a ton of talent. Guerra, Gomez, Mulvey, and Humber were ranked. 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 7th respectively on BA's top 10 list for the Mets.
This is a big move by the Mets if Perez stays consistent and Maine continues to improve they'll be big favorites. Especially if they can get Pedro healthy.
The Mets rotation is going to be awesome. We'll see who gets the better end of the deal in the long run.
The Mets and Santana are really butting heads ironing out the details on his contract. The league gave them a 2 hour extension to finish things up. Santana wants all 6 years guaranteed, and the Mets are balking.
Deal done! No terms released yet. As a Mets fan, I'm happy as hell!!
