Xabi Alonso and Daniel Agger will be out 6-8 weeks with broken foots.
Gerrard chose not to rest his broken toe during Euro qualifiers, had pain killers injected before the Portsmouth match and has looked the shadow of the player that played against Aston Villa and Chelsea. Does he actually think people aren't going to notice the difference?

I didn't think he'd get the axe even after they lose to United this weekend. Considering the injuries and the opponent they should have waited until after that game.

Didier Deschamps is the first name thrown out there by skysports to replace Jose.

Avram Grant has been named the new manager of Chelsea.
I don't see him as the long term manager. If he isn't, then I like Guus Hiddink's chances of replacing Grant in the summer.

Abrahimovich was going for Gus Hiddinick wasn't he? If Lampard and Drogba don't get healthy soon I could see West Ham finishing above them.....heh.

Apparently, Abramovich pays 75% of Hiddink's contract in Russia. I think it's only a matter of how far Russia progresses into Euro2008 before Hiddink arrives at Chelsea.
Chelsea could slide outside the top5 during January when both Drogba and Essien are playing in the African Nations Cup.

Rafa Benitez don't give a **** about Mourinho leaving
Even though Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger of the 'big four' have offered their sympathies for his departure, all Benitez would say was: 'You know my relationship with him, it is better that I do not say anything."
Well done, Rafa.

How good was that Fulham/City match?
In non-English news, Parma is the new Catania. They're on FSC every damn week.

Doesn't it seem like Fulham are always involved in at least one match like this a season? Probably has to do with the fact they've never had a defense but it makes for exciting games.
