Not the best first 20 for the reds, but Torres clearly already paying dividends. Upfield pressure leading to that lovely OG. down with Villains!

**** the $COU$ER$ and **** you plastics.
What a goal by Gerrard!! Great win by Liverpool
Both Torres and Babel showed great upside.
Yup sounds like Torres alright. Guy is talented but he misses a ton of easy chances.Overall Liverpool were worthy winners, with record signing Fernando Torres making a satisfactory debut despite spurning a golden first-half opportunity.

Who would have thought that Eriksson's Man City side would actually good? Although it wasn't probably very hard when Curbishley decided to start Lee Bowyer, Mark Noble in midfield AND for some reason no one has gotten the clue that Anton Ferdinand sucks and George McCartney should not be a starter in the EPL. Other than that, Bellamy actually looked hungry and Dean Ashton finally got some playing time.
