Have to agree. That was definitely a bad call. What's worse is I'm not a big Scott Parker fan and I question how much better he can perform than those two (subbing Mullins in seemed to help some though). The best opportunities came from getting the ball wide to Freddie or Boa Morte/Etherington and I would imagine that will be the case going forward.

Dominating effort by United in the first half but nothing to show for it.....

Total side note but when I watched the Chelsea game today, I had an epiphany:

Long lost twins?

Well its definitley a new season. Last season, United would have gotten a fluky goal to get three points. This year a draw at home and 1 point each.

Disappointing for sure, but your playing with fire only dressing one forward in your entire squad...

That was fabulous to watch.

Yeah, Curbishley needs to figure out the midfield quick like, Lee Bowyer looked TERRIBLE, ditto Zamora, Boa Morte, Ferdinand, McCartney, Noble. If West Ham is going to be succesful in this league, they're going to need a class playmaker (see: Fabregas, Arteta, Elano, etc.) AND a shut down midfielder. This is why I'm shaking my head that they never gave Mascherano a chance, now Liverpool has an abundance of them.

To add to the drama, former left-back Konchesky has gone to the press about Curbishley and how Bent and others refused to (sign) play for him. NOT GOOD. Looks like West Ham will not be able to escape the drama or the relegation battle if they can't fix this soon...
