No one has chimed in on the Barsenal game??? Obviously I'm happy about the result, but Van Persie getting sent off was too much for Arsenal to handle.

    Shaktar look scary good.

I want to like Arsenal, they do a lot of things right, they run a tight financial ship, they play pleasing football and have some great players. But there is a real problem with Wenger, he seems to refuse to believe he is deficient in certain areas, like a couple of defenders with some balls and a number one goalie rather than 3 back-ups. I know the young goalie looks very promising but would he be starting right now for United, Chelsea or even Man City?

There is a real fragility in that team, Wenger never replaced the heart of the team when he lost Winterburn, Adams, Dixon, Keown, Seamen and Viera, they all had balls, they were all leaders. Wenger is a typical stubborn Frenchie who just refuses to see what most people can see.

The other aspect is that Wenger continuously shifts the blame for losses on to match officials. Of course I don't know what goes on behind closed doors, but when the captain of the team comes out and blames the pitch and the opposing teams tactics for a loss then I believe the mantra that Wenger constantly spouts has seeped down to his captain and essentialy to his team. Fergie also blames the ref like against Chelsea but you lknow full well he kicks his players butts and it shows when his captain tweets and apology to fans and says it was not good enough.

Anyway well done Tottenham it has been fun watching them this year.

A survey done today asked whether Spurs fans would rather the team made the semis of the champions league or finish in the top four of the league. The majority were for the top 4 in the league, not sure what to make of that.

What do the local spurs fans on here think?

I'd pick top 4 in league, champions league is all or nothing, and I'd rather have another run at the CL and not a bitter disappointment of crashing out in the semis without another chance of CL football for awhile
