Villas-Boas set to join Chelsea? I think I predicted this earlier... Anyhow, word is he's taking Falcao and a couple other gems from Porto to London with him. Very curious to see how he does in England, but he sure as hell was an impressive coach throughout the year.

Did you? I remember just discussing Hiddink on these boards although Villas-Boas was linked pretty heavily with Chelsea early on with the Mourinho connection and his past ties to Chelsea.

Obviously Villas-Boas will want to bring familiar faces with him but I don't know if Porto will put up with losing their manager plus the core of their double winning team all in the same summer. I think they will more than likely play hardball with the likes of Falcao, Moutinho, Hulk, and Otamendi etc.

Anyways I like Falcao and I like Hulk even more but with the money they have invested in Torres it seems prudent that they build a team to ensure he is successful. Falcao is an out and out striker he and Torres would not make a successful partnership. Hulk makes more sense for Chelsea at this point. Now if Chelsea ship off Drogba and/or Anelka it makes sense for Falcao to be bought because I don't see how Villa Boas will be able to keep four strikers happy as well as break Sturridge into the first team especially since Villas-Boas favors 4-3-3.

All that said, buying Torres was a huge mistake. Chelsea bought a lemon.

Anyone watching Copa America? Argentina looked like poop the other day. Today we get to see Brazil...

After two games both Argentina and Brazil were disappointing.

I think if Argentina are going to succeed with Messi as the centerpiece they are going to have to bench Tevez. Just doesn't seem like they can play in the same attacking third together. I would like to see them play Aguero up front with Messi and Di Maria in an interchangable front 3.

Also I was disappointed to see both Cambiasso and Mascherano against Bolivia. No need for two defensive minded midfielders against such a weak team. I hope they let Pastore play a free role in midfield in the next few games. I understand playing both Cambiasso and Mascherano against a tougher side but against Bolivia? No need for that.

As far as Brazil I think they were more unlucky rather than disappointing. They were definitely more entertaining than teams under Dunga, just didn't seem that sharp yet. The goals will come, just doesn't look like everyone is on the same page.
