he might have to. while modric is more of that possession player in central midfield. Van der vaart seems to be more of an attacking midfielder that plays off strikers, no? There probably will be a bit of mixing and matching happening.

Reading a few articles, seems to be the opinion that $12 million was a very good price for him.

As long as he can do this, spurs fans will joyful:

France lost again. ****ing pathetic, hard to believe they were the 2nd best team in the world 4 years ago. Granted they didn't have Ribery, Benzema, Govou, etc. but still there's no reason whatsoever they should have lost to a country like Belarus. The way things have been going I wouldn't be surprised if the don't qualify in 2014.

They'll be fine, Laurent Blanc is a great coach. The U-21 also won the World Cup this past summer so their future is bright.

I saw my first English Premier League game today. It was pretty good and fast paced too.

Everton vs Aston Villa. Aston won the match 1-0 but Everton sure had a lot of chances to tie the game tho. AV's defense was very good locking down the scoring. I will need to see when more of these English Premier games are on the TV.

The soccer thing is growing on me I think. I don't think I will be a hardcore fan, but watching the games so far have been fun indeed.

Yea, Reina's not having a good year, he had an own goal in Liverpool's debut and sucked in the friendly. Good thing he didn't have any caps in the World Cup.

Barca dropping their first home game of the season, their offense looked out of sync for the duration, unable to break through Hercules' defense. Barca already feeling the effects of parting ways with Zlatan.

I wouldn't agree with the parting ways with Ibra as being the reason they lost today. Hercules has a long history of upsetting Barca and to be honest Nelson Valdez is a class goal scorer. The two international fifa dates (including the long travel to Argentina) have really left the team off sync. But yeah, Barcelona played like crap, no real team effort and never in sync. Hercules defense was organized, physical, and the goalie played well enough, so I give them lots of credit.

I love Barcelona, but it's asinine to think they're going to win every game. La Liga needs more than just two teams.

Speaking of Ibra, AC Milan is down 2-0 before half to a recently promoted Cesena. And yes, Ibra is starting...
