The NHL game is way more entertaining than it was a few years ago. Well, except for the Kings I mean.

I went to the game on Sat. and I must say I had a blast. Granted, the atmosphere was nuts and you will not get that at your standard MLS game, but I for one hope that Becks will make a difference and helps the Galaxy and the MLS as a whole improve.

The opposite is true. The EPL sides are in the US for marketing reasons, any player who openly said anything negative would be in deep trouble.

I'd go further on this point. The EPL is desparate for top talent from the US as they know the marketing potential is huge. If they find players with the potential they'll do all they can to develop them.

This debate is daft really. It would be like me trying to argue that some teams in the EIHL in the UK is nearly as good as the AHL because a couple of guys in the league played a few years in the AHL on the 3rd line. Sure they might win a game or two (with a 5 goal start and a bad ref) but I can be realistic... they'd finish last.

NB: A couple of the teams in the now defunct UK ISL were in the same ball park as the AHL (and the cost of doing that is why it is defunct) but even then they would have struggled over a season.
