Uggh, I wouldn't be surprised if it was her doing in the first place so she could try and reinvent her star.

I was a die hard Spice Boy fan back when he was a Red Devil.

Now I feel like the media is trying to force him and Victoria down LA's throat and trying to create a mountain out of a mole hill.

In all honesty, i hope this whole Beckham circus does become successful, and hopefully other international stars will follow suit.

It's only soccer... no one in North America cares.

It's not like the city doesn't have enough room or enough fans for another high profile star/sport if it does catch on. I hope it generates genuine interest in soccer. Why not?

Just because it's never happened doesn't mean it's not going to happen. I think the Beckham interest will eventually die down, but Beckham in America IMO is going to make a difference in soccer in America in the long run.

Think Gretzky's influence of hockey in L.A and the southern belt of America. It's naive to say it "definitely" won't happen with Beckham and soccer in America.

It's little buck tooth kids from the rest of the world who are buying Beckham jerseys, not just English kids. It's the trendy tourists from the rest of America and the rest of the world, stopping by Los Angeles that are also going to buy Beckham's Galaxy jerseys.

Adidas has PRESOLD 250K Beckham jerseys already every MLS stadium across the country is sold out for their "Beckham" game.

Be bitter all you want but you will not be able to exscape this crap for the next two weeks.

BTW while alot of the fans are HISPANIC some of the better drawing teams in MLS are on the East coast, Dc Chicago and New England mostly anglo fans for most of those teams. Not to mentions Toronot FC who sold out every home game all season BEFORE the team ever hit the pitch, Alot of mexicans in Canada?
