    Well each team only gets one "Exceptional Player" type exemption right. Doesn't Donovan become labeled that type of player next year. Unless LA trades for another team's exemption they're going to have to get rid of one of them, Donovan makes more sense obviously.

    Maybe Donovan will sack up and go to Europe. Not likely though.

    As was expected by a few people, the "grandfathered" players will continue to be so, and it looks like they will continue to be grandfathered till the contracts run out, or in the case of Johnson and possibly Donovan, they leave for Europe
