Solano has confirmed he will not be signed by the Galaxy. In a lot of ways thats great because players up front are not what the squad needs. Defense, Defense and more defense is what they could use. Donovan, Buddle and Beckham give them enough scoring punch.

I think they could use a good holding midfielder as well.

Reports a couple days ago had Corey Gibbs coming to MLS, and LA taking a look at him..

every rumor of every player coming to MLS has the Galaxy as a destination. I assume you're going to the game thursday UCSD ?

think this time it was written as the Galaxy would have first claim to Gibbs, and Lalas had a quote that they were looking at him this weekend.
(many believe Lalas is on limited time anyway, so it may not matter)

I can not think of a single decent coaching job that Gullit has done anywhere.

I agree about Gullit but Lalas was a major problem. His acumen at spotting talent and putting together a solid roster from top to bottom was poor. Now he can get back to his main job as front man for the band the Spin Doctors.
